Some people show up just to cause pain

I ask myself why people act like that
Some people just like to hit you with a bat
I'll never truly know what went so wrong
But all I can do is just move along

I remember when my ex would say

Some people don't think about the things they say
The way they act or the people hurt along the way
They only care about what they want and what they see
But clearly that thing wasn't me

I know not everyone is like her in that way
Some people care about you everyday
One day I hope to meet a friend like that
But right now it's like a tire is flat

Time may heal the wounds you made
But I'll never forget the words of your blade
Your betrayal will always be in the back of my mind
So that later maybe I won't be so blind
