What's Best for Her

We thought it was perfect, we both were so scared

We didn't want to end, this love that we shared

It happened anyway, we both knew it was best

What she needs, has to be addressed

She told me what she felt with honest, soft words

And all the world stopped, even the birds

I can tell she still loved me but she knew what's best

She needed to go, thus ended our quest

I feel so lost, I don't know what to think

It just feels like life's out of sync
